| The company SCAM MARINE was established in 1989 as the workshop for the manufacturing of the hydraulic steering gears and the repair of the marine engines. Since the establishment the company’s activities include:
- production of marine engines SCAM DIESEL from 8 kW up to 250 kW
- production of marine generator sets from 3 kW up to 300 kW - repair and overhaul of marine engines - engine marinization (from 5 kW to 250 kW) - production of parts required for marinization (sea-water pumps, oil, water and air coolers) - production of hydraulic steering gears - manufacture of shafting with stern tubes - production of INOX flanges - production of special flanges for shipbuilding (INOX and steel flanges)
- machining services - water jet cutting services (different materials, stone, wood, metals, plastics...)
The company’s history
In 1991 the entire group of marinized marine engines based on KUBOTA engines (Japan) was developed. In 1995 the company became licensed to sell IVECO marine and industrial engines. In 1999 the company was certified by TUV for the production of INOX flanges. In 2002 the company got CRS certificate for diesel engine repair. In 2003 we renewed the serial production of SCAM DIESEL engines. In 2004 the company obtains representation of MITSHUBISHI marine engines.
In 2009 SCAM MARINE became the sole distributor for the Python-Drive range of products.
At present our company employs 49 professionally trained employees and all our activities take place in our own production plant with size of ca. 2500 m2. Our products are placed on the home and foreign market (70 to 30 ratio). Through constant increase in quality and competitive prices we’ve achieved a good position in the home market and we show a continuous growth in export, which is one of our main goals.
Our company is equipped with various technologies for machining:
- CNC turning - CNC milling - CNC plasma cutting machine - CNC water jet cutting machine
Plans for 2008/09:
- expansion of machining capacity has already been achieved through acquisition of the 4-axis CNC machining centre - 5-axis turning machining centre has been ordered and will soon be installed |
